TJS Awards Success

With the end of the year comes the culmination of lots of hard work across Alps. It’s no different at TJS where we have recently received recognition for work in several areas:

• Platinum UKLA/Open University Reading for Pleasure Quality Mark – this recognises the work the school does in promoting reading for pleasure within and beyond the school community – including arranging author visits, building reading culture and promote social reading environments that stimulate book talk.

• Artsmark Platinum – this award recognises the commitment schools have to promoting and delivering the arts in a high-quality way that ensures access to all and builds cultural capital across a range of areas, both within and beyond school.

School Games Award Gold – Sport and physical education is key to well-being and this mark recognises the school’s commitment to providing a range of sporting opportunities to children, both within and beyond the curriculum.
